block
a point made on the board
blot
a single chip on a point
chip
a playing piece, also known as checker, piece, or man
closed board
a prime in a home board
cover a blot
landing one or more chips on a blot to make a point
doubling cube

home board
the section of the board containing your 1-point through 6-point
lover's leap
moving a runner to your 13-point while it still contains your chips, usually on the first turn
make a point
placing two or more chips on a point
pip
dots on the die, also, the distance between two points on the board

the number of pips needed to bear off all of your chips

one of the positions on the board marked by a triangle
prime
6 consecutive blocks of the same color
