In Backgammon, your goal is to move all of your chips off of the board before your opponent does.
You and your opponent take turns rolling the dice and moving chips around the board counter-clockwise according to the values on the dice.
You may move your chip to one of the 24 points not containing any chips, containing your chips, or containing only one of your opponent's chips.
In the case of moving to a point with only one of your opponent's chips, their chip is hit and moved to the bar.
If a player has chips on the bar, those chips must re-enter the board before they can move any of their other chips.
You may move your chips from the board (called bearing off) once all of your chips are in your home quadrant (the last quarter of the board nearest you).
The first player to bear off all of their chips is the winner!
