@mbeh132

We wait until the group games are complete to determine the top two in each group to form the playoffs. All playoff matches are in the best of here format. I will be updating the website with the names of the winners as soon as we have all results of the group games in.

delays

Looks like Slimshady and Mule0448 are holding up progress. They are only on turn 8 of their game which will decide the runner-up in group 2. Can anyone help them speed it up? I don't know them.

delays!! why @groupe

Hi
everybody.
I got BBL means playing fast like Mr. Blokhin2 and me.
all times for internet playing in ZE must be less than 5 minutes and on the table must be less than 30 seconds!
introduce me, if it is others, like normal play.
normally i put the player doesn't play fast, in my ignore list, or wait too much. such player itisme.

some of my ignore list are as below:
bozer1
itisme
luckycats
yordaddy
loungnlizard
and at its time almost or bigjamfun, also bonne chance
they play too slow and or intend to doest play fast against me!
thanks and regards

delays!!

Mbeh has a point here when it comes to some people playing really slow (mule & slimshadey have only made 10 moves in their game so far and are holding everybody up).

I propose that starting from the next tournament a new rule should be added as follows:

After the 10 days since the tournament start two (or more in case of a tie) slowest players will be determined as having the most unfinished games at that point. These players will be put on the waiting list for the next tournament and won't be able to play in it if there would be 24 other players willing to participate in it.

So it's not an outright ban, but rather a possibility for the slowest ones to be excluded from one tournament.

Update

We are two weeks into our first BBL-1 tournament and all but one group games are completed.
One semifinal has already been formed - Lilwarrior who won 10 of 11 (!) games in the Group 2 is paired with Maidann, who was the runner up in the Group 1 with 7 victories. Maidann holds a tie-breaker against Mbeh132 thanks to the win in their individual game. This semifinal (best of three format) can now begin.
The winner of the Group 1 is Nightking with 8 victories and he will play in the second semifinal with either Mariusadi who has 7 wins or Mule0448 who currently has six, but holds a tie-breaker against Mariusadi in case he wins his last outstanding game against Slimshadey. That semifinal will begin right after the last group game is finished. I will post another update as soon as that game is over.

After the first tournament is over, let’s have a discussion on how it went and what can we do better for the next one!

Why would Maidann have to play you again? Both of you had 7 points, but he won the game against you and thus was placed higher (per Rule #5 of the tournament which states that face-to-face matches are the first tie-breaker).

@Mbeh132

Hi - unfortunately this is incorrect. While both of you got the same number of points in the group tournament, Maidann holds a tie-breaker due to his victory in your game against him. Please refer to the rules on the website https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl
Based on these rules, Maidann gets to play in the semifinal against Lilwarrior.
