BBL-19 registration is open early! Friends, BBL-19 Registration is now open. Please use our usual website link to register for the new tournament (https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl). After such a successful tryout of the updated format in the last tournament, I am happy to keep it in place for this tournament too. We will start again with four groups from which 4 top players will move to the playoffs. The "Sweet 16" group winners will meet in the 1/8 finals, then it's time for "Elite 8" or quarterfinals, "Final 4" or semifinals, and the Championship match for the semifinal winners. All playoff games will be in the best-of-three format with BG games only to speed up the pace. Hope to see you all returning to the tournament and having a good time! The group seeding and all games will begin on July 26. Best, Leoton |

BBL-19 is now OPEN. All games must start before August 1. Friends, I wanted to welcome 1 new and 35 returning players to our BBL-19 tournament! Based on the snapshot of participants’ ratings as of July 26, the four-group seeding is now set and all games can begin! Each group has nine players, so each of you will play 8 games on the group stage. The top FOUR players from each group will go to the 1/8 finals with the playoff portion of the tournament will be conducted on the best-of-three basis. All games must use the BG format only. As always, I would like to reiterate that this is a blitz league and when you signed up, you agreed to play fast, abide by the rules and code of conduct, and timely report individual results on our BBL website. IMPORTANT: Please update your challenge criteria to ensure you can be challenged by your group opponents OR make sure you challenge them yourself first! Check your ignore lists too. Please avoid any delays as all of your group games must be started by August 1! In order to see who your group opponents are, please go to the home page of the BBL website (https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl - bookmark this page!) where you will find the link to the Results page. Everything is set up on that page, including a ZE challenge link for each group opponent, created for your convenience. Click that link for each of your group opponents and your BBL-19 challenge will automatically open on ZE. On the home page of the BBL website you will find the result submission form. The winner of each individual game should fill in this form within 24 hours of completion in the following format: Player A - Player B 1:0, Gammon (if applicable). I intend to update the results multiple times a day as I get automated notifications on your result submissions. Please review the results page often, and, if you are not seeing some of your results, please don’t hesitate to submit them even if you lost a game. Your assistance here is greatly appreciated. A few additional suggestions to speed up the games: a) Communicate with your opponents to see what time of the day is best for both of you to be online. b) If you happen to be on the losing side and your game is out of reach, consider resigning and updating the website with the result yourself as your opponent might not notice that the game was over. As usual, feel free to connect with me directly if you have any issues, questions, or concerns Best, Leoton https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl |

… Hi guys, AM I missing something? Is Rio and schen only playing one game at a time or not reporting and playing really slow? |

… I think you're onto something Jart238. Have you asked them directly? |

Stay to play not hide-away. I asked Rio, no response. I see they have all 3 games going now with 0 moves on two of them. It took me and Xapko a little over one hour to complete our match - stay and play. I look at it like this: leoton puts it together and I think he would appreciate fast results. |

No blitz yet. Wow, Schen & Peter - 4 moves in three days. News flash: It's 100 times more important to play fast (stay & play) than to keep force moves on and blow out other games waiting for a slow-poke. |

⚡agree with Jart ⚡ Fact: blitz(ger) = flash(engl) = ⚡(pict) |

… With all due respect, Leoton needs to grow a pair and ban anyone abusing the principle behind the tournaments (i.e. play fast). It's not difficult. |

⚡⚡⚡... Check last game of bbl.....If he/she throws only bdls - has not any chance. Peter is favorite. Dont know why his opponent dont resign.... 5 days (and more maybe) for blitz game is toooooooooo much. Maybe Murat's proposal (banned for some time) is good. |
