BBL-11 Registration is Open

Friends,

I would like to invite you to register for our 11th BBL tournament! Same link as always: https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl

As usual, the number of open seats is limited to 36 players with the group seeding and tournament games begin on March 26. If you would like to participate, please make sure to register quickly!

Similarly to the previous tournaments, when you go to our website to sign up, you’ll need to check “I agree” box, confirming that you will follow BBL Rules and Code of Conduct, submit results within 24 hours, and begin all group games by April 1, 2022.

Please note that the Code of Conduct has been updated. It now includes the following paragraph implementing additional enforcements to avoid delays:

“Players who failed to start any games by the Official Tournament Start Date, submit results within 24 hours from completion of the game they won, or cause noticeable delays without any written notice to the host of the tournament will be issued a warning ("yellow card"), captured in the Results page. Players who receive more than 5 warnings during a current tournament shall miss the next tournament. Those receiving more than 10 warnings during a current tournament shall be disqualified from that tournament and their results will be stricken out.”

Looking forward to having another great tournament with you all!

BBL-11 is now open. All Games must begin by April 1st!

Friends,

The group seeding, based on the snapshot of participants’ rating as of March 26, has been completed and all games can now begin! As usual, we will have 36 players, so each of you will be guaranteed at least 17 games in the group tournament.

I would like to welcome 1 new and 35 returning players to our BBL-11 tournament!

As always, I would like to reiterate that this is a blitz league and when you signed up, you agreed to play fast, abide by the rules and code of conduct, and timely report individual results on our BBL website.

IMPORTANT: Please update your challenge criteria to ensure you can be challenged by your group opponents OR make sure you challenge them yourself first! All of your 17 group games must be started by April 1!

In order to see who your group opponents are, please go to the home page of the BBL website (https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl - bookmark this page!) where you will find the link to the Results page. Everything is now set up on that page, including a ZE challenge link for each of your group opponents, created for your convenience. Simply click that link for each of your group opponents and your BBL-11 challenge will automatically open on ZE.

The home page of the BBL website has also the result submission form where the winner of each individual game should fill in upon completion of the game in the following format:
Player A - Player B 1:0, Gammon (if applicable). Remember to submit your results within 24 hours of completion to avoid any delays.

Also, please note that starting this tournament, the following language has been added to the Code of Conduct per players' request to enforce speedy games:

“Players who failed to start any games by the Official Tournament Start Date, submit results within 24 hours from completion of the game they won, or cause noticeable delays without any written notice to the host of the tournament will be issued a warning ("yellow card"), captured in the Results page. Players who receive more than 5 warnings during a current tournament shall miss the next tournament. Those receiving more than 10 warnings during a current tournament shall be disqualified from that tournament and their results will be stricken out.”

As usual, I intend to update the results multiple times a day. In order to speed the pace up, please review the results page often, and, if you are not seeing some of your results, please don’t hesitate to submit them even if lost a game. Your assistance here is greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to connect with me directly if you have any issues, questions, or concerns
