Hi Terry, our BBL league tournaments are open for anyone with ZE rating of at least 1700 points. Registrations are held every other month and seats are taken on a first come first serve basis.

Happy New Year!

As usual, the number of open seats is limited to 36 players with the group seeding and tournament games begin on January 26. If you would like to participate, please make sure to register quickly!

Similarly to the previous tournaments, when you go to our website to sign up, you’ll need to check “I agree” box, confirming that you will follow BBL Rules and Code of Conduct, submit results within 24 hours, and begin all group games by February 1, 2022. You also agree to make every attempt to play fast and not cause any delays.

Please do take this pledge to heart and we will have a very smooth tournament!

Just a gentle reminder that players who had previously caused significant delays without any communication to the host, will not be admitted to play in the BBL tournaments.

Looking forward to playing in yet another fun and competitive tournament with you all!

The group seeding, based on the snapshot of participants’ rating as of January 26, has been completed and all games can now begin! As usual, we will have 36 players, so each of you will be guaranteed at least 17 games in the group tournament.

I would like to welcome 3 new and 33 returning players to our BBL-10 tournament!

As always, I would like to reiterate that this is a blitz league and when you signed up, you agreed to play fast, abide by the rules and code of conduct, and timely report individual results on our BBL website!

Please update your challenge criteria to ensure you can be challenged by your group opponents OR make sure you challenge them yourself first!

In order to see who your group opponents are, please go to the home page of the BBL website (https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl - bookmark this page!) where you will find the link to the Results page. Everything is now set up on that page, including a ZE challenge link for each of your group opponents, created for your convenience. Simply click that link for each of your group opponents and your BBL-10 challenge will automatically open on ZE.

IMPORTANT: All of your 17 group games must be started by February 1!

The home page of the BBL website has also the result submission form where the winner of each individual game should fill in upon completion of the game in the following format:
Player A - Player B 1:0, Gammon (if applicable). Remember to submit your results within 24 hours of completion to avoid any delays.

As usual, I intend to update the results multiple times a day. In order to speed the pace up, please review the results page often and, if you are not seeing some of your results, please don’t hesitate to submit them even if lost a game. Your assistance here is greatly appreciated.

Today is the official start of BBL-10 - the day when all games must at least be started!

We are well ahead of the last tournament pace - 76% of group games have been already completed (vs. 67% last time). Four players have already completed all their 17 games - thank you!

I would like to request you now take a moment to review the results page on the website:

1) After a quick check I did notice that some players still have a few outstanding games to start. Please begin them today as it was agreed upon you signing up for the tournament. Failure to comply with the rules will limit your ability to participate in the future tournaments

2) If you see any missing results, please submit them on the website even if you lost a game - this will help us greatly to avoid any delays.

3) Speed up your games in progress to keep up with the blitz nature of the league!

Also, I will be posting another update with some additions to the Rules/Code of Conduct before opening the registration as many players approached me with some ideas on additional enforcements to speed up games.
