BBL-3 Registration is now Open!

Friends,

The registration for our BBL-3 is now open. If you wish to participate, please go to our website: https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl and enter your name in the sign up form. By signing up, you agree to play fast, follow the rules and code of conduct, and timely report results on the website to avoid any delays.

I would like to welcome all returning and any new players who would like to join our blitz league.

Please take a moment to review some minor changes to the Code of Conduct, added based on your feedback. The key additions were the recommended ZE settings and only allowing rated games in the tournament. Additionally, each participant will have their own ZE challenge link listed on the Results page, allowing to automatically send a ZE challenge to this player (thanks to xapko87 for providing the URL!).

All the rules and format will remain the same from the previous tournament. We will again have a maximum of 32 players, divided to two groups with top four in each group moving to the playoffs. The tiebreakers and playoff rules will stay the same as well.

Good luck to everyone! Please connect if you have any questions or concerns

Thanks
Leoton

BBL-3 is now OPEN!

Friends,

The group seeding, based on the snapshot of participants’ rating as of November 26, 5:30am PST, has been completed and the games can now begin!

Since we have quite a few newcomers (huge welcome!), I wanted to reiterate that this is a blitz league and when you signed up, you agreed to play fast, abide by the rules and code of conduct, and timely report individual results on our BBL website!

In order to see who your group opponents are, please go to the home page of the BBL website (https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl - bookmark this page!) where you will find the link to the Results page. Everything is now set up on that page, including a new ZE challenge link for each of your group opponents, created for your convenience. Simply click that link for each of your group opponent and your BBL-3 challenge will automatically open on ZE.

The home page of the BBL website has also the result submission form where the winner of each individual game should fill in upon completion of the game in the following format:
Player A - Player B 1:0, Gammon (if applicable)

As usual, I intend to update the results multiple times a day. In order to speed the pace up, please review the results page often and, if you are not seeing some of your results, please don’t hesitate to submit them even if lost a game. Your assistance here is greatly appreciated.

Please remember that even though the games can already begin, the official start of the tournament is on Dec.1 as we wanted to give enough time for those on the game limit or with challenge criteria to clear it out. Please do your best to begin all your 15 games by Dec.1 to avoid delays.

Have fun and Happy Thanksgiving for those who celebrate it!

Please feel free to connect with me directly if you have any issues, questions or concerns

Best,
Leoton

BBL-3 Update

Friends,

Today is our “official beginning” of BBL-3, the day when all games need to be at least started. As we always open the games five days prior, I am happy to report that almost 80 percent (190 of 240) of all group games have already been completed. We are outpacing our prior tournaments - big thank you to everyone for playing fast and timely reporting results!

At the moment of this writing, six players have already completed all their group games and several people have just one game left!

What I would like to ask you all - please do a quick check of the results page on our BBL website and ensure all of your completed games are properly reported. Even if you lost a game and don’t see it captured, use the website form to report it - this will speed up the beginning of the playoffs. If you forgot to report any of your games was finished with a gammon - please report this as well as gammons are used as a secondary rule for the tiebreakers.

Finally, if it happened that any of the remaining 50 games have not yet started for any reason, please begin it now to avoid any delays.

Thank you all and I hope you have all been having fun playing in this tournament as I have.

Leoton
