@luckycatz

This is a blitz league, specifically created for fast players.
Are you sure this is something you'll be able/willing to do?
From my personal experience our games with you last for 3-4 weeks, if not longer. Just want to make sure we are on the same page

BBL-2 update

Dear friends,

As we all know, recently we opened the registration for BBL-2 on our website https://tinyurl.com/ze-bbl

Just in several days, we quickly exceeded the total number of participants in the first tournament by four! We are now at 28 players registered and I temporarily closed the form to get your feedback whether we should stay at 28 for BBL-2 or continue registering until we reach 32 (an absolute maximum number I believe we should support without changing the two-group round robin format). Please provide feedback - would appreciate it.

We are still three weeks away from the group seeding and start of the tournament, so it’s a good opportunity for everyone, especially newcomers to go over rules (we had some updates, like adding quarterfinals and playing multi format, best of three matches in the play offs) and code of conduct.

Please connect with any questions or suggestions. I plan to keep registration closed for a couple of days to gather your feedback on the total number and, if you believe we should keep it open until we reach 32, I’ll reopen it again.

Thanks!
Leoton

BBL 2 feedback

Having decided on quarterfinals opens it up to a 4-group competition, with the top 2 from each group proceeding. That doubles the number of potential participants without increasing the number of people/games per group.

With 2 groups and 4 from each group going through, there would be 8 going through. Hence, quarter finals.

With 4 groups and 2 per group proceeding, there are still 8 finalists, so same QF setup.

It just means smaller groups, unless we get double the number of people. Each person still plays everyone in their group once.
