What's the point if you are not supposed to get rewarded for winning a four months long competition?
What is the purpose of tournaments then?
You risk your rating when you accept playing against 200-300 points lower rated players, so at least you should get a little something in return. A medal of honor, a Hawaii trip or at least a more public congratulation than receiving a single announcement in your mailbox that you have won the tournament.
It's ridiculous.

Hey Artin, sorry you felt it anticlimactic but I'm assuming that you knew what you were signing up for? We all knew the risk when joining...playing those who ranked lower. I do know how you feel however and perhaps a more public congratulations would be great. Let's put it to ZE for consideration   In the end though playing in tournaments is about the winning...being the 'best' isn't it? Or have prizes over ridden that age old quest for perfection? ZE is still perfecting their site...in a few years there might be prizes. Who knows! Charmed Ones has made some interesting suggestions.
