Absolutely absurd game https://zooescape.com/backgammon.pl?v=202&gid=6999203 After move 55, if this is lost purely on dice what is the point of playing the game? Clearly something miraculous happens, and since miracles don't happen please explain how this sequence of rolls pops up exactly when needed. The 66, the 16, the 1 and the 6 just before the other board crunches. Is it any wonder I lose faith in this place? |

… You have yourself to blame, your move 56 should have been bar-23, 20-16; send two of his men to the bar and you'd have won fairly easily from that position. Why did you make the move that you did? |

No That's feeding their backgame. I don't want to be bearing off over their 1 and 2 points. There is no need to send any more back, I want their forward checkers to crunch and for one of their back checkers to be forced out with a 6 so I can attack the other. The idea they can both close me out and then get the 66, 16 a 1 and then another 6 just in time is so remote it shouldn't be a consideration. Even after their move 64 it's still looking hopeless for them. |

… You have a five prime, four of them inside his own board. You HAVE to double hit, that's basic stuff. Run your play through either XTremeGammon or GNUBG - both of them will tell you that you messed up majorly. Really bad. Regardless, you're missing the bigger picture. Unless you're playing for money backgammon is one of those games where it actually doesn't matter whether you win or lose - the goal is to play at a PR rate as close to zero as you can.........you can't control the dice (rigged or otherwise). Don't lose sleep over "hooky" dice, if you can't handle the cruel variances of luck then take up chess. Stay safe my friend. |
