Peaceful, Civil, Fun Tournament of Champions #3 Starting 7/13/13!

Rude, Uncivil, and Unsportsmanlike Behavior in the Game Messages or the Tournament Forum will not be tolerated and will result in elimination from the Tournament!

Format (very similar to TC#2):

1. Round Robin where everyone plays everyone using the doubling cube to 5 pts. Resignations or Eliminations will have all of their results removed, (per the vote in TC#2). Crawford Rule and Dead Cube Rule in place.

2. Top 8 qualify for the Playoffs! Ties will be handled in order by:

A. Head to head results.
B. If more than two are tied then it will go to points differential in the related (between the tied people) games.
C. The third tie breaker will be the ZE backgammon rating of the tied people as of the day the tournament starts.

3. There will be a time limit to finish all of the round robin games. This fact and the fact that you will need to be able to use the doubling cube explain why we are looking for ZE members only. Players with unfinished matches left at the deadline will be eliminated completely from the tournament along with all of their results (per the vote of previous participants in TC#2).

3. Qualifications to play in the tournament, I am asking for one of 3 things:

A. Past ladder champion as evidenced in your bio.
B. #1, #2, or #3 Placement in any ZE tournament as evidenced in your bio.
C. A backgammon personal best rating of 1825 or higher.

If you would like to participate in a challenging tournament with a nice, fun atmosphere against some OUTSTANDING competition and you have the ability to bite your tongue when necessary, please reply on this board with your qualifications listed on the forum. There are a limited number of slots so please reply quickly. The limited number of slots and the fact that this is an Invitational Tournament means that just because you reply to this Forum does not imply automatic acceptance.

Qualify on all 3 but I can't see 1825+ lasting long, just a quick visit in the 1800's is the norm. For the record I'll still manage the table even if I don't make the selection process, but I will be a little bit sad.
