Tournament - are 2222 long finish

I am sure there MUST be another thread "post" about these tournaments.

1. I vote have each segment of the Tournament last 4 weeks only.
2. Therefore all the players should have enough time finish the games move on to the next level.
3. Have these tournaments last for months PRIOR finishing I don't find in my personal opinion fair.
4. Four (4) weeks allows any player to fulfill personal/ professional/ vacation times OR whatever a person might do in 4 weeks.

LOVE to read what other players think about 4 week cut off in the games !

Thanks.

heres another way to speed them up

once 1 person has moved on in a round, end the games for the remaining players...

im in bg tourney 42 and atm theres 27 games left before it advances to round 2.. i was the first confirmed winner in round 1 so ive been watching and waiting for the rest of the groups to catch up.. of those remaining 27 games maybe 12 have 0 impact on the possible winner of their respective groups.. those playing cannot hope to advance whether they win or not. as soon as someone hits over 50% in wins of the possible games a group can play, the rest of those games should end.

but i know that would reek havoc on the ratings assignments for the rest of those games so itll never happen.. not unless they make it so tourneys dont impact overall ratings

I don't see why the next round of a tourney can't start as soon as all those advancing are confirmed, regardless of other games still to finish. So in your case dapharmer, the next round would begin as all the players for the next round are decided and the other 27 games could just be left to play at their own speed, they'd have no effect on those continuing to the next round, they'd just become everyday games in a way.

something like that would work for me and would seriously help speed up tourneys

Love these suggestions

I love the suggestions here... totally agree IF OBVIOUS the other players CAN'T ADVANCE then move winning players on to next round... ALLOW the other players continue the play at their own speed to finish round they lost

.... Than waiting FOREVER for those games to end ... LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea... believe keep all the players happy when playing in the tournaments

2 people now holding up the entire tourney 41... can tell which ones cause they've continuously taken the full 3 days per turn...

honestly people if your not gonna play your damn tourney games dont join the damn touneys

never happened with me before as i used to end my games very quickly

ZE should enforce the rules like GK tournament rules....
after specific number of days they should advance winning players ahead without disturbing the ratings of players in on going games
