Acey -Deucy Ratings
It is well established that Acey -Deucy has a much higher dependence on luck than backgammon, and that Weaker players are much more likely to win a game of Acey-Deucy against a stronger player. Since only one combined rating system is used on this site, which determines a players rating for the combination of backgammon, nackgammon and acey-deucy, it would make sense that a win or loss in acey deucy should affect the player's rating by less that a similar win or loss in backgammon. For example, if a strong player lost a game a game against a weak player in backgammon, his rating may drop by 6 points. For the same opponents in acey-deucy, the loss should only drop by 4 points (for example), as the element of luck is much greater. I don't know where to find the exact statistics for the element in luck in acey-deucy as compared to backgammon, so I don't know exactly by how much the rating changes should vary, but some internet sites claim that the element of luck is almost doubled for acey-deucy as compared to backgammon.
