Rules at this site

Why are the rules at this site different from the ones we play normally or, say, at Pogo's Backgammon?
I have never heard that the moving is limited with the exception that one has to move the higher number if only one can be moved. Otherwise you can move any number with any pip.

I don't know Pogo's Backgammon but, as far as I know, it is an official rule of the game as understood by all major backgammon federations, that you must always move the larger number if either but not both dice rolls can be played. Perhaps Pogo needs to tighten up their rules a little?

The different rules as practiced in serious play but not followed here. It that the first role cannot be a double. This makes the play more fair. Rather the first role is the sum of cubes thrown individually by two players. one die must bigger than the other die (so double will never occur on first roll

Zoo Escape Backgammon does follow the rules of the major backgammon federations. If you have a specific example of a rule that is not followed, please let us know and give us an example of a game.
