And it obstructs the game while playing on a mobile.

The intentions of the banner are probably good, but it has the opposite effect and why should ZE should annoy its faithful subscribers? We all know how to enroll for a tournament and we do not need an extra reminder.

Next time, please come up with an innovation that makes everybody happy and is a real improvement  , like an additional fast tournament, with rules for those who want to play fast

Alternatively, the banner should be fixed and not scroll the screen down. The scrolling is horribly annoying because it scrolls down when you are trying to make a move, causing you to mis-click the mouse. Also, the screen scrolling down is visually disturbing, even when the screen opens.

I think if the banner was fixed in place and appeared instantly (even where it is now) it wouldn't be a problem. It just shouldn't scroll down.

As @Saurus notes, the scrolling causes mis-clicks. Get rid of it or stick it in place so there's no vertical movement of the screen.

Wouldn't it be a lovely idea to follow up the many suggestions that have been posted by the paying subscribers over the years, such like the very recent request to get rid of banner again ? It is the old universal question from biblical times who should be served: Should the site please those who play on it on a daily basis or to those who set it all up?

I've had the same thought on many occasions. In the "early days" the folks at ZE did reply to comments and suggestions. Unfortunately, I now think that the entire site is automated and it's just a way to collect the $19.95 per year in subscriptions.

Why not offering another time limit for players who want to complete a game without any delay ? 15' limit for “blitz” games...
