New tournament rules?? I'm trying to join April tournament, but it gives me a message saying: You must not be active in any other tournament or you must be a subscriber to sign up for this tournament. Currently I'm still active in 5th and 6th tournaments. I've never been rejected to a new tournament before. Is this a new thing? |

Re: New tournament rules Just like free memberships are limited to a number of games one can play at the same time, the same applies to tournaments -- only 1 tournament. We have not strictly enforced this rule previously. |

The economy is bad, I know. Thanks. That makes sense. |

Same idea with gameknot If you play chess under gameknot (www.gameknot.com), there is a tournament every two months. For paying members, they can play as many tournaments as they want... For non-members, limit to one tournament.... If you enjoy every tournament, it is time for anyone to become a member of this website. I am the member since last October... I am able to play 80-100 games..... worth every penny! |

Paying members I agree. I don't think I could ever go back to only 25 games! |

Too many Sometimes I feel even 25 games and 2 tournaments are too time consuming for me. I definitely have more important things to do in life So dear ZE, you can cut my numbers and kick me out of as many tournaments as you wish. |

define more important? My dear Artin...are you suggesting that people who choose to spend their free time playing lots of games here or at gameknot don't have a life or have more important 'things' to do? Or is that just my wicked mind? 'More important things' come under 'Point of View' doesn't it...? LOL |

@dragonia I'm not saying you guys are wasting your time. It's my own problem and I think ZE will shortly help me with that Obviously I spend a lottttt of time here, when I should be doing something else. |

yes but no i kind of agree with artin76, although i do understand the other arguments.... Thing is: aren't tournaments going to loose interest by loosing players? Those games and tournaments aren't like those of chess, don't you agree? They are faster, by all means... And still there are not here the mini-tournaments, also, which were a great alternative for the 'big' tournaments... I mean, who, in those who likes tournaments, aren't still playing in one of the late tournaments? Especially when they last for weeks and weeks and months, sometimes...? Have to wait and loose to participate in the new ones? okay, but then the tournaments are going to reduce the number of participants... But - okay - if that's the way it is, that's the way - it is. comts |
