Yes, it is well known across the entire world that the 'Kid' is the bomb from NZ! He is a great BG player but has done us all a tremendous service by sharing his expertise via his website. Kudos to the Kid!

Love the results site!

It looks amazing! The format for the Nations tourney looks a bit different to what I had understood, but I like the new one better! When do we start, and against whom?

Thanks!

Many thanks to KumaraKid for accommodating our nations tournament on his site!
I will draw the groups and the schedule of matches right after my trip to the dentist's office in an hour or so.
Btw, don't anyone be telling my son I'm taking him there or I'll never hear the end of it!

Match Day 1

The first set of matches shall be:

USA2 - Iran
Australasia2 - Canada2
----------------------------------
USA1 - UK2
South Africa - Canada1
----------------------------------
USA3 - UK1
Spain - Australasia1

The players of the teams listed first shall challenge each player of the team listed second to a single 3-day backgammon game. Please write "Nations" in your challenge comments so your opponent will know what this challenge is about. If you get a response that the player you have challenged is playing their maximum number of games, let that player know so they can challenge you when they free up a slot.
As this is a bit complicated, I will send, throughout this day, each player of the teams listed first in their matchups instructions as to whom to challenge.

Starting more games at once

Since we know the other teams in our group, could we not start all games within them. Eg Australasia2 could start playing USA2 and Iran. Each game could take a number of days so should we start as many as we can?

KumaraKid,

Q: Since we know the other teams in our group, could we not start all games within them. Eg Australasia2 could start playing USA2 and Iran. Each game could take a number of days so should we start as many as we can?

A: Normally I would say "yes" BUT, as there are 12 non-premium players in this tournament, I think it's best to wait.

Btw, games are normally 3-day challenge backgammon. If you want to play Acey-Deucey or use the doubling cube, you may do so ONLY after contacting your opponent and getting his/her approval to challenge them in that manner. A win is a win no matter what the cube.
