results ZULU defeats RAZZ by a score of 10-1 it was an exciting finish- but could hold him in my lair. I would like to use THIS game as an example of another RULE in MATCH PLAY-- it is addressed in the rules under DEAD cube-- THe DEAD CUBE RULE clearly states that when the cube has reached a level that is high enough to end the match- the cube is not to be offered again-- this is actually in bad taste and also violates the etiquette rule- but I do not take it that way from someone who is new to MATCH play (the first time) In this game the cube was DEAD and yet it was offered again-- it served no purpose and shuld not have been offered- if this was LIVE backgammon ( the best time) it would not be allowed and should not be allowed - but playing in an electronic format - the person has NO OPTION to decline or tell the other person he can't add.. he has to accept even though === I am so happy that we are all getting opportunities to learn aspects of the game that you may have not been exposed to before- and if we learn something out of this T then it was MORE of a success than I could possible expect- if we walk away from this as BETTER players - then it doesn't matter who was first or second - we will all live to be CHAMPIONS another day. NOW I will get off my soap box but ne wary of the RULES....... all of them. second offenses will not be tolerated- unfortunately and thanks r4 |

one thing i noticed this tourney is easily going to make all of our normal games against each other more interesting. I already am noticing that some of my normal matches against people from the tourney show both sides reacting to each other a bit differently. you get a lot more information out of people in long match games because you see how they deal with risk vs reward. kinda makes it so you know when someone is going to be willing to play a riskier move vs when they'll respond badly under pressure. should make our overall dynamics on the site much more interesting |

hope you are enjoying it I hope it adds more depth to the site-- You definitely have to think more - I consider my position before every roll - a little more. as I am sure most people do when they have more to lose or more to gain. one point matches dont give you that feeling. |
