… when I said someone-- in the above message that would be "someone" who is on the waiting list-- or who has played in previous weeks... I am just making it up as I go.. your suggestions are welcome but not necessarily approved- I like good ideas that fit. A question does anyone know if I can send a message to everyone at the same time? or do I have to send messages individually? |

Tourney Thank you for the update; I have set my alarm and I am really looking forward to it. Unfortunately although this week is good for me, I will not be available for the following 2 Sundays as I have family over for Xmas, but will be OK again after that. |

the crawford rule first, we are not using it but what it is... let me give you a scenario to explain- if you are playing a 9 point match- and someone gets to 8 points for the NEXT game- the double cube may not be played-- but only for that one game-- in any games to follow the cube is back in play-- its a little confusing at first and for that reason I have decided to NOT use the Crawford rule--- it would only give an advantage to the person who is behind in the match on the first game after someone gets into a match point-- in this T-- we have NO Crawford rule- but we will be enforcing a DEAD cube-- and I am surprised no one has asked me about that--- what that is -- if you are playing a 9 point match and the cube has been doubled to the point where the match would be over no matter who wins the game the cube is out of play that stops the person who is ahead from doubling for no reason other than to run up MORE points--- if someone plays a dead cube they will forfeit that match... ( I may give one warning on this)-- but it is a serious offense or at least serious etiquette error at least |

suggestion I`m not a member so it doesn`t matter to me but a quick suggestion for your tourney ---- if you get 16 have two separate tourneys of 8 and the winner of each plays a final . |

We are so far from that-- trying to keep it going with 8 may be a challenge-- but no it would be one tournament I also think 12 would work- but I am not thinking that far ahead. thanks Alacran |

How this would work random generator -- With the current 7 registered players 1- alacran 2- ChWaqasAhmed 3- nightking 4- simonfox 5- maidann 6- dostoievski 7- jwc1515 8- AVAILABLE After running the random numbers I came up with; 2, 6, 5, 8, 3, 7, 1, 4 so the first round would be as follows (9 point match play with the cube rated) ChWaqasAhmed vs dostoievski maidann gets a bye ( unless we get an eight player ) nightking vs jwc1515 Alacran vs Simonfox BUT that was just for demonstration purposes- to make sure you understand the DRAWING will be held at the start of the T -- just in case we have some no shows-- I sure hope everyone shows up, and we get that last seat filled too-- we need a name-- Sunday Rollers or something..
