As far as the USA goes... I have pulled out greeksheik in the hope of creating a Greek squad. That leaves nine USA players. If we split them up chronologically, they line up as follows: USA1: itisme, uahskr, Dadooo USA2: ricetta, oldman69, pokhra USA3: mtnlvr, nightking, Steelerhead If you guys prefer to split up by regions, that is fine. Itisme - TX, Dadooo - MI oldman69 - CA mtnlvr - CO nightking - ME Steelerhead - NY the rest, I don't know |

USA team fine with that Ditto. I'm in Seattle if it matters As for keeping track of games, how about using a Google spreadsheet? Question: How many of the participants are subscribers? That is, have access to using the cube... Not to overstep my bounds, but a tournament that was a race to a certain number of points, say 7, would be nice. Each pairing start off with three games against each other and then play additional games as necessary. Winners update the spreadsheet accordingly. Just my two cents . . . I'm ok with however it shakes out. |

So far... South Africa have a full squad after Saurus accepts an invitation to play for them! Zulu_warrior has also stated his willingness to play for either England or S. Africa! I think we'll wait to complete Greece and Iran and then start our tournament. That is NOT to say that new players will not be accepted: we will make every effort to accommodate them! |

@pokhra What I had intended was that we break up the teams into groups (3 or 4 depending on how many entries we get) and have each team play the others in their group with the winners advancing to a single group (3 or 4 teams) that will then play for the championship. This is the way zooescape tournaments also work. The difference being, instead of playing the same opponent three times, each player will be playing each of the three (or four) players of the opposing team once. Btw, a couple of players have asked me to make this a strictly backgammon tournament (no nackgammon or A-D). Sounds good to me. |

Nations vs Nations Tournament Count me in from Canada This could show where the Backgammon power lies. |

New additions The following have also said they would join: prometheusss from Canada - that gives Canada a second team! Persianprincess from Iran who also graciously volunteered her husband - whether he likes it or not - the persianprince. These entries complete an Iranian/Persian squad! |

Suggestion faster record keeping Save time with so many players have a "captain appointed " for each country or team ? The captain keeps spreadsheet for their country and post winning results. If any issues comes up during with team players OR slow play captain resolve the issues. Are we placing a time limit for completion of each level of competition? Of course we are in this together for input. GO Team USA =) |
