I do live in Colombia and I do have a colombian as turkish passport. I do use my turkish nationality to honor my birth country, but I do live much more years in Colombia than I was living in Turkey. Also Ahmed explained this before. So on ZooEscape David and me are the only colombians and we would like to play this tournament. Ahmed is a friend of both of us and he is the only person from Pakistan on ZE. We would be happy if someone not important strong or weak player would join us. David told me that he would offer his help to organize the tournament on the unoficial backgammon tournament page backgammon.otao.co

I love to participate in all un-official tourneys on ZE and do like it to join in an organized way. So when I came across about 3rd Nations Tourney I sent messages to my old team mates of PAK-Iran team that if they wanted to reunite and participate.I did not get a response from any of them. I have a habit to share the news of any tourney with friends during chit chat,So I mentioned in front of David that nations tourney is back . He asked me that if i wanted to join him and Arslan, as I had not got any response from my mates in 3 days, so I said yes, as both of them are very good friend of mine and I always enjoy their online company.  

And I really don't wanna comment on the part of "strong team" But if other players think that a team should not compete in a tourney because it has players who are very good then I will happily empty my space and will find a replacement for Colombian team.
I hope I will find some other team also  .

OK, I am satisfied that there was no bad motives in the creation of this mixed team.
Who would have thought someone named Ahmed Arslan is Colombian?!? (sorry for calling you Alp Arslan!)

What is not so satisfactory is the response we are getting...
Unless things improve by the end of August, maybe we will postpone this tournament. I think there are too many tournaments going on as it is and that is working against us

I do think you will have also your share of Ahmeds in the England. I think every country in the world will have at least one Ahmed living there. Your last name does not sounds very British, I would guess that at least someone from your family is from somewhere else. That is today everywhere the same. There will be very few countries in the world, that will not have all kind of European, African, Asian or Arabic in their country. A name means today nothing anymore. I came as a child to Colombia. I know turkey just from short holidays. I do not even speak my birth language, which a shame in itself. So I am much more Colombian than anything else. David Cool is also no Colombian by birth. He is German, but he does live for a very long time in Colombia, not as long as me, but over 20 years. There are also others here on Zooescape that are not living in there birth country and they are home and feeling home in their guest country.
Anyway no offense taken for the Alp Arslan. Anyone should have a open mind and accept people as they are, not important there origin, there religion or the country where they do live.
We are also ready to play. Just start it. Lets get some Team Captns that should form their team and lets play Backgammon

Cap17 can't take part, and I haven't heard from Stelrad so there are a couple of vacancies.
