7-3 lilwarrior I was able to place 2 on the bar early, leaving my 6-5-2 open. 3 no plays for Steeler settled it. One of the reasons I always lean on placing men on the bar. Ya just never know what might happen. Widen the gap! |

8-3 lilwarrior 3 6-5s for Steeler off the top put him in a bad position. Me on the other hand had a wall of 5. Double and done. |

8-5 Lilwarrior In order to make a big comeback, he accepted my Cube 2 on my first turn... Had a chance for gammon but it was a long shot.... |

8-5 Lilwarrior Longshot? It almost happened - too close for me! And accepting the cube, you offered before rolling! I can't let that go. |

8-6 Lilwarrior During my 1st turn, I weighed my decision to offer Cube 2 or roll the dice and wait for right time to offer.... no easy decision! So, I went for the roll.... LW had better positions in early part of the game at the same time, my dice were uncooperative... Somehow, I moved my chips well and able to dodge several bullets to create better position.... On the last roll, I got double 6 to increase my pip big time and that is where LW rejected my offer wisely. |

10-6 lw I was able to get my runners safe to 13, and was ahead by 7 or 8 pips. Steeler still had his runners on my 1. So I doubled, and he accepted, I think based on the fact my wall wasn't fully formed yet. Hurrah, I was able to build a wall of 6, and almost gammoned. Steeler poked a pip away to take the match at least one more game. Craw craw! |

Additional comment Here's the reason I accepted the offer- if I decline, the score would be 9-6 with a possibility of no Crawford the following game.... If I accept, it might either end up 8-8 tied or lose 10-6 with a chance of playing one more game...if I win the Crawford game, in order to make a comeback, you should know my next move....gotta be a survivor till the end! |

Reply So you accepted in order to guarantee a Crawford game? I can see that. And yes, I'm expecting that early double....if we get there.... |
