Zooescape we all realize tournaments last for monthssssssss to finish !

****Purpose for unofficial tournament play among top players who are invited members based on their high % rankings on Zooescape in ladder and tournament play with REASONABLE speed****

HOWEVER not all invited players may not take speed tournament inconsideration with slow play to finish games.

SOLUTION:
1 Announce to all players start date and time
2. First round one month play
3. Each week 25 % must be completed games
4. 2nd week 50% completed games
5. 3rd week completed games 75% completed games
6 4th week 100% for 1st round .
7. *****If a player DOES NOT COMPLETE their % stated end of week play they forfeit their position in standings , eliminated from the chart all win/ loss from that player is recalculated for other members who played against that person.

REMAINING ROUNDS
1. Would follow above listed steps 2 -6
2. OR shorter time period less players to compete against.

NOTE:
1. I see as today’s chart appears at least 50% of the players have finished at least 50% or more games
2. I am sure there are other win losses not posted .....GREAT considering we started this tournament approx. 1 ½ weeks ago.

I hope my recommendation made sense for future play / suggestions / solution.

I think in this tournament IF there are any slow players tournament host forward an email with a time frame to complete X # of games by X date or will be eliminated from the tournament.

IF we don't have a solution ... we will have same issue Zooescape currently has for all of their tournament play months / years

I like your suggestion. It is along the lines of what I proposed a few days ago except I used matches/week instead of percentages. I suggested as a starting point that each player agree to finish at least 5 matches/week. In our current Tourney that pace would closely parallel your percentage suggestion and we would be on pace to finish the round robin portion of a Tourney in just over a month. Now, not everyone wants to play 5 matches/week so we could lower the number of matches or percentage as necessary to meet as many player's wishes as possible. The important thing will be as inclusive as possible while still maintaining a reasonable pace that most everyone feels comfortable with. Striking the appropriate balance for players across the globe will be a challenge but not impossible.

A ZOOESCAPE tournament takes MONTHS, which is crap, I agree, but you are suggesting being slow is not completing 50% of your "matches" by the second week? I am trying really hard to keep up and have even felt a bit stressed out at times and even so this tournament is moving fast. You want it to move faster? Count me out. (Can I be the timer though, I'll put 20 seconds on each move .... forget work, sleep .... play) .... I know you'll miss me, and my points, but ... oh shit, I've got games to play!

Josicat - suggestions, recommendations, solutions take time to stream line a grass roots approach on tournament play YOUR opinion as value. We all love to play matter creating true established rules for all players to enjoy.

I thought of PLAN B:
make simple ... all 1st round be completed with 30 days from start of the tournament therefore people can play at their own pace ... still have a professional and personal life.

The slow players will end up weeding themselves out ....

itisme, not sure how you are defining the 1st round? If that means finishing all 24 games in a month, you would be going at about a 6 match/week pace. That is apparently a lot to ask for some folks. But maybe I am not understanding what you meant by 'all 1st round be completed with 30 days from start of the tournament.'

AKA the 'eyeball' is in the Tourney. He just hasn't finished any Matches yet.
