playing more that one game at a time with the same opponent...

...does not work well in this format because of the uncertainty of where the doubling cube will leave you. I would encourage these CT#2 games to be played one at a time for each opponent with both agreeing to the status of the match at the beginning of each game.

Also, there is still confusion over the Crawford Rule. As I understand the Crawford Rule, there can be at most 1 'Crawford Game' per match. This would occur for a single game anytime after one opponent has reached 4 points in the Match. The doubling cube cannot be used by either player during a Crawford Game. After the Crawford Game is over the doubling cube can then be used for all games that remain in the Match. r4zzm4t4aa, do I have this right?

and in answer to kumara's ponderings... 32 yr old financial analyst/programmer//part time robot from the states here.. been playing backgammon for 17 yrs since my physics teacher in highschool introduced me to it. he used to challenge the students in the class for homework passes. the joke being on the students since he rarely lost to any of us so it was rare for anyone to get one, until he started playing me. I picked up the game super quick and started beating him more then he beat me and eventually the challenge would be for them to beat me instead of him to get a homework pass.

so started my love of the game, and the tremendous enjoyment i get from laying down some well executed destruction   .. chess is great if your into the strategy end of things but backgammon just gives you such unbridled joy from that small addition of luck. When you're on a roll it feels like your the unbeatable war commander, executing well timed strategy and putting your opponent right where you want them to be... and when you lose.. you get to blame the dice!   it's win win

I'm 42.
Financial analyst as well. Originally from Ukraine, now I live in the USA.
I like backgammon, but I like chess more (luck plays a lesser role there)
