AJ1968 - apparently postpone games 11 days

AJ1968 - apparently has postpone games for 11 days IF any players with active games such as myself APPEARS finish could be mid July or longer prior for first round completion.

Based on AJ1968 would not make the top 8 HOWEVER several players are affected which waiting to finish game with AJ1968

Itisme (Myself) ... I am leading in game current ranking Itisme -3 AJ1968 -1
Daphamer

LEAVES padajp complete majority of their games to determine if they rank in top 8

RECOMMEND : future tournament play WE determine reasonable dead line date for all games completed.

DISCLAIMER: I have zero issues with any players APPEARS majority want the games move fast within a reasonable time to advance next level of play.

I might be a sad individual but...

Check out the new version of the results website.

http://unofficialzootourneys.wordpress.com/

I'm not sure how many tabs and sub-tabs I can keep adding but at this stage I have had no problems.

My thoughts are that anyone who runs a tournament can determine rules and type of tournament. If they create any tables etc I'm happy to post them on this site and that way they are all together. Once a day I could update the page by adding the new version of the table (2 min job). Organiser can either email me directly or via shared googledocs (not that I've shared them before.

Just an idea, as rather than reinventing the wheel each time someone runs a tournament we can have this common layout. I would also share website login details should I disappear or wish to pass it on to others to edit.

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Rules for this tournament:

I think this has been a big learning experience regarding what rules we need. We were probably missing some that would have clarified situations better. Rather than adding more at this stage I think we should just let the games play out even if there is a delay. Future tournaments could have time limits, although determining who is at fault could be problematic.

I don't see any reason why another tournament can not start now.

KK --- GREAT job .. BRAVO

Well done with website updates !

... I agree we can start another tournament WITH "nailed down rules on game time play "
prior to game start . Recommend for all players READ rules prior accepting tournament play.

OF COURSE we are all in this "together" iron out the details/rules for each tournament ... till we have best play rules established learn from the mistakes correct those errors move forward in future play

Tournament 3

As I've said I'd host Tournament 3 I'll decide what format I'd like it to be over the next few days and I'll start a new thread for players to join/post results on.

I agree that the rules should be agreed before the tourny starts, again I'll post the rules for T3 on the new thread when I start it.

I'm happy to email updated tables to Kid.

T2-->T3

Thanks again to Kumara for salvaging T2 and to Peter for agreeing to host T3. Several players have suggested that the rules be agreed upon before T3 starts which of course makes perfect sense. I made several suggestions on page 8 of this thread which I hope will be helpful for future T's. There will likely be a few issues that will emerge as we all continue to learn together. I personally liked the voting feature that Kumara provided as a means to decide how to handle players who decide to resign. Looking forward to T3.
