that is a crawford rule violation-

craford rule is for the first game - if the match is not decided on that game then you would be POST Crawford and a double would be automatic on the part of the underdog.

but in this case--

What I recommend is that you finish that game -- as a 1 point game even if the cube is at two-

if that is a problem let me know-

BUT -- you should communicate your intentions and understanding with each other as you proceed-

unfortunately ZOOESCAPE does not recognize match play-- maybe they will if we continue to show the demand for this format.

just here to check on updates- will update the results but no time for me to play at this time-

YESTERDAY was a great start-

keep it up!!!

Thanks for your participation

whisk crawford question

under the scenario you layed out that is correct it would either be 5-0 or 4-1--

POST Crawford game the cube is back in play-

but it is possible to end a 5 point match with 6-7-8 or even more depending on the situation-- you could run the cube to 8 and get backgammoned on the first game and it would be 24- to zip!!

just read a bunch of the posts

you are all correct--

as long as ZOO escape does not have a 5 point match format--

does not mean we cant use the cube as it should be-

just because it is there does not have to be used--

nothing that couldn't be explained

it would be better if we all sitting around in the sports club playing but because it is electronic and cant be withdrawn - doesn't meen that the game cant continue with the understanding its an error-

no need to make a mountain out of the mole hill

and communication is key and I am so happy that we are causing all this conversation and a better understanding of the game and its rules and regulations..

love the game

keep on rolling

Crawford Rule

Parimer and Slideshowbob2012, What you both suggest seems like a reasonable solution. Given the hard work that our host has put into the tourney, I want to be sure and give r4zzm4t4zz the opportunity to chime in and will happily abide by whatever is decided. All the best,

r4zzm4t4zz's reply about the Crawford Rule

Great! I will accept Slideshowbob2012's double but the game will only count 1 point. Thanks for the clarification.

crawford

I think the correct thing to do would be to accept - and make a note of it and count the game as it is intended-

immediate resignation seems harsh- because of the electronic format it could not be taken back so it should be accepted and notify the host-

to make a ruling-

if it were live -- and you offered a cube-- the same thing would happen you would be told - cant do that- and the cube would be put back- not disqualified- does that make sense?

its not OPEN it is for players who have reached the top of the ladder.

If not let me know--

if you have been no need to reply. we van take it off line here and send me a private message regarding this issue.

Crawford

Makes perfect sense to me, thanks! I have already accepted the double with the understanding that we are playing for 1 point. Thank you for all of your efforts with the tourney!

AM I MISSING ANY COMPLETED MATCHES???

please check and give me updates

either here or direct message-

love the game-

hope everyone is enjoying the format--

it is something that can not be offered by zooescape at this time--

MAYBE they will notice the demand and answer.

(but keep the price as it is hehe)
