Result because of no cube.

oh you can`t do anything about them so just venting how often it happens. This is just a game where the sequence that occurs, rescues a game he was too far behind unless something like this happens. Game is http://zooescape.com/backgammon.pl?v=200&gid=93291 This game is in my active games and can be reviewed before I end it..

I have played on many sites but because these games are one point matches it is so pronounced and easy to see. In 5 pts or longer pt matchs the doubling cube eliminates these kinds of miraculous comebacks and since we don`t use the cube we see it over and over again. Whoever understands the cube would drop this game once a gammon is no longer possible and they are doubled so we wouldn`t see it. But playing to the bitter end results in these kind of endings or miracle rolls as I call them.

I am interested to see if over 1000 games it evens out but since each game is an individual and unrelated game it may never happen. Will see out of curiosity.

Thanks for your interest.

Amazing

Well Artin--You win--I have had many losses to Two and three sets of doubles to change the result, as mentionned earlier, but never a game with 4 straight sets and a gammon to boot. Very unlucky and unreal. These things happen because of no doubling cube as your opponent would never expect a gammon and likely would have doubled and you drop at roll 13. No doubling cube =these kinds of miraculous results.

Even more amazing

CharmedOnes,
I guess ZE is pissed off because of my comments about unfair and fixed rolls.
If not, then how could you explain three 6-6s my opponent gets to deliver a gammon in the following game? (check the last 4 rounds)
(I know, it's just a continuous conspiracy theory I keep making people bored with. Don't take it seriously)

I understand

I am not--it is the 1he 1 point games allowing these things not ZooEs. Dice turn these games to crazy results.

doubels galore not every 6th roll

Rafael can confirm two more of his wins against me something like this, dragonia got 5-5 6-6 and 3-3 to win our race Artin got 2-2 2-2 and 6-6 to win our race and bulldog got 2-2 5-5 6-6 and 2-2 to win our race--And Artin has some worse games than me in individual games but not as many or frequent wins turn losses in this manner. When am I going to win normal races and then some of these crazy races? Well I have kept track since my earlier post and now have won 8 of these games abut my losses have increased to 37 Can`t wait until it evens up. I also had a 5 pt board and opponent had a 4 pt board including a blot on his 5 and he had two men on the bar. he rolls 3-3 to get both in and i stay off his 4 pt abord and don't`get on again until game is over. Nice streak of incredible rolls to hand me 6 losses. With the doubling cube in effect I would double them all and have 6 more wins, 6 less losses unless they were crazy to accept (not knowing they would get these miraculous rolls). And that is in the last 10 games. This program cannot be random or has its flaws.

hm.....

Well, I confirm CharmedOnes bad luck, we've talked about it lately, but I believe it's really random. I guess it was just bad luck =/

Series of innocent normal rolls

Check out moves 10,11 and 12.
Just enough, not less, not more.
Isn't it adorable?

Get a grip people

I think there is some basic human psychology going on here. Has anyone ever heard that you need 10 positive comments to override the one bad one that so and so gave you? That's what is happening here. You're all so focussed on the times you got screwed, that you are neglecting all the times it happens for you! It goes both ways. I've played more games than anyone on this site, so I can honestly say that I've been screwed by the dice more times than anyone else. And, as some of my opponents have let me know, it's happened in my favour as well.

Get a grip. It's life, it's odds. Play enough, and it will even out. One player will have luck over you a lot, and you'll have luck over someone else. Stay positive. Enjoy the game. Enjoy the competition and the competitors too. Be a duck, and let it slide off your back, and say, "It's my turn next time."

Sheesh. Sigh. Anyone up for a fun game of gammon?
