I am with r4zzm4t4zz on this one.

I also have about 4 or 5 games to complete and then I will start again.

I know that the biggest problem we are going to have when starting again is the long long wait between turns when playing against lower ranked players.
They don't seem in any rush to play.

I know that jamesnchina has started again from the bottom and the slowness of the games is driving him crazy.

r4zzm4t4zz - let me know when you are going to start again.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

First tournament starts on May 13 (Monday). I'll be a host for the first tournament and then we can start rotating hosts (or maybe someone wants to volunteer to be a permanent host - that would be great too!).
So, please let me/other players know if you are playing in it ASAP.
We'll limit the number of participants at 16, if we have more than 8 but less than 16 by 1PM on Sunday, May 12th then only first 8 will play.
Abriscoe, Whisk, Stewie, TawnyaH, Achilles57,Sideshowbob2012, R4zzm4t4zz , other players - let's do this!! If you are playing please state your rating at the time of the post - it would be use to determine the pairs.

OK - good ideas from all.

We will keep this thread as the "official" keeper of the record for:

1. The person who reaches number 1 in the least amount of games - as per r4zzm4t4zz suggestion.

2. The person who get from the bottom of the ladder to the top of the ladder in the least time (number of days).

I am just wondering if this forum should be notified of each attempt at these records??

Is it necessary that we are notified?

The 2nd thread that blokhin2 started will used to keep a record of the tournaments.

Does that sound OK to all?

and I think you would have to be notified to know WHO and WHEN? I have 5 games left and will be starting soon.

I have just started at the bottom of the ladder.

there is no question some players use slow play as a strategy or something- i can not figure it out--

i retired from the ladder and jsut trying to finish my games still-- i have ONE more game and I am in a position that I can not lose and what is my opponents move??

he goes on vacation!!! not kidding look at the position -- but i will NOT let it get to me-- can not. it will never change

I wish i understood it it WILL BE A SLOW PROCESS to even get started.

Yes - those tactics drive me crazy. And unfortunately a lot of people use those tactics.

If I was you. I would just resign the game and start again from the bottom.

I see there are 3 or 4 players who have started again.

I thought it would be quicker to create a temporary user name and join the ladder to do the race, rather than waiting the eternity for my games to finish and resign. However.... I completely forgot that you have to complete 10 games before you can get on the ladder  

So, anyone fancy helping me race through those 10 games, my alter ego is 'beanni' - challenge away!

thought it would be good to have some kind of record of who has tried this and the results-- something to shoot for- like a ladder format:

example
Race to the top
Player 1 - 99
player 2- 113
player 3- 120
player4- 143

all in one message so it would be easy to reference-

what do you think? I am getting ready to start- retired 10 days agao have just one game left - and it is a looooong wait - vacation mode- no play - delay after delay in a very obvious position- sigh..

just finished my last game (finally) but can not figure out how to start over again? it says I have 0- games but also says I must finish all my ladder games before I can rejoin-

Im confused- (but enjoying the short break)

please help me
