I couldn't disagree more. It would be very unfair if someone was to benefit from 2 free wins from matches they could loose when others have already lost.

The only way to do it would be to remove all matches for resigned players. That way everyone plays the same amount of games, against the same players and have a even chance of progressing.

I agree with Peter Hill and Achilles - withdrawals should be removed with their finished games.

poll the players still in and take into accoutn everyone's vote before doing anything.. still have quite a bit of open games to go through before round 1 ends so we can let it be a democratic decision among us all

Remove all matches involving those two and anyone else that resigns later or isn't playing at a quick enough pace and is slowing things down for a myriad of reasons (time zones, etc.) and it is a completely level playing field for all that stood fast to the end.. Should be some kind of time clock or else most of us will be waiting for a month on a few. Some here in this tournament are in completely different time zones and yet are getting their games in, so it may be a matter of some not being members and having a number of games restriction..
