What is the current record?

GREAT question chwaqasahmed-

Is anyone keeping track? a screen SHOT showing your accomplishment saved as a *.jpg should be the tell all--

looking it over pretty quickly it looks like the current record (s) are;

Backgammon Ladder- 61 games to ATHENA
Nackgammon Ladder- 59 games to AHMED ARSLAN

but these are unofficial- solely based on my observations - not based on any hard evidence- that I have SEEN.

but both of these are GREAT accomplishments and sets the bar pretty high..

I am currently TRYING to get to the top of the Nackgammon Ladder-

I did the NG ladder - 83 games--

immediately retired- and will try to beat my own record- there were a couple of times that I thought I could have improved--anything in the 50's is amazing to me--

some strategies I THINK are worth mentioning- starting off by choosing just a few - about 5 opponents who you feel that will both play quickly and also advance - so you can follow on their coattails--

then when you get to the top 25 you got to open up the damn and increase to as many games as you can and pile through the top - most of the time one rung at a time..

it is actually a very challenging thing to do- and I HOPE that you all give it a try-- challenge yourself- kind of like running a marathon try to break 4 hours first then get it down to about three..

hope someone takes over this forum- I will not...

took 2 1/2 mos to get there in 114 games.
Didn't learn much other than be sure you are playing lots of non ladder games.

This has got to be the slowest "race" that I have ever participated in.

As has already been discussed in the forum - most of the players at the lower end of the ladder have no real interest in actually finishing a game.

That being said, there are definitely some players who are a lot worse than the rest and anybody attempting this "race" should keep well clear of them.

Here is my list (so far) - I am sure others who have attempted this challenge can add to it.

I have a few also, I add them to my ignore list so that if I try to challenge on the ladder it asks me "Are you sure?" so that I won't challenge accidentally.
