Re: examples

In the game in example 1, there 6 sets of doubles prior to bearing off and 2 sets of doubles once bearing off, but you likely didn't care until bearing off. Similarly, in example 2, there were 2 sets of doubles prior to bearing off, and 3 sets once bearing off. Each game has more than 36 rolls in it so one would expect to see on average 6 sets of doubles. Since it is random, it will happen at different times throughout the game. Please refer to FAQ regarding the dice.

@AJ and other naggers

Dear friend,
Just check out the following game to understand what it means to be a victim of a series of merciless double rolls!
Enjoy (just see the final 5 rounds):

unlucky

Wow, amazingly unlucky, Artin!
Of course you were expected to lose anyway, but losing a gammon seems really unfair

Again and again....

don't understand this.
Dice again rescue a game for opponent. Two more times to "TWO SETS" of doubles while I win one like that. This one is the 28th loss in similar circumstances, I have now won three times. He rolls 6-6 and 1-1 to get 8 men off while I roll 3-1 and 2-1 to get only one off each roll and leave one man and lose with a man on the 2 pt. We each had two rolls and he got 8 men off while I got 2 to lose this one. Unreal how much luck that is and how often that happens. Someone told me it will even out over the long haul--well I have 25 wins coming if it does. (28-3 so far) LOL---
