The 3 players were tied on 21 wins. As in previous tournaments these 3 players were then sorted on their head to head results. That is, how they went playing each other. jwc1515 beat both you and achilies, you beat achilies, and therefore achilies lost to both you and jwc1515. So the order is jwc, you then achilles.

At that stage the top 16 was sorted but in the rules for Tourney 5 the hosts stated that tied players in the last spot would all make it to round 2. So we have 17 players going through.

16th place plays 17th place to determine who plays 1st place in the round of 16.

KumaraKid, itisme and myself are the 3 members of the T5 Comity.
Web Master: KumaraKid, Co Host: it me and Bonne Chance, Stat and Scorer: Bonne Chance.

Some way how all 3 mist achille57 tie in the 17 position.
After we discuss by email, we decide that decision was the most honest, fair and according to the rules of T5 for the benefit of all the players.

In any decision, always have disadvantage for some players. You are the one, chwaqasahmed, who got it. You have one match more to play.

I feel sorry about it.

What make me more sorry is we are playing to have a great time and fun. A lot of players take so seriously and they get upset and disappointed. To be upset and disappointed is not good for the blood pressure.

I am pleased that is all sorted out to everybody's satisfaction.

I suggest that whole section relating to ties in the round robin round could benefit from a rewrite. Luckily only one extra player tied on 21 wins and so only one play-off was needed to reduce the field to 16. If there had been 2 more players on 21, and there could easily have been if the unfinished matches had been played out, then 3 play-offs would be needed and so zulu_warrior would have also had to play again (14 v 19, 15 v 18 and 16 v 17), even though he finished ahead with 22 wins.

There are two alternatives, first that only the tied players play each other until only 16 remain (maybe 19 v 18, winner v 17, winner v 16, but this could take too long), or the top 16 players are simply decided by the head-to-head results method with no play-offs at all.

It could become almost as complicated as the LBW law or the Superleague play-off system.

hey guthers I noticed in Results section of Round Robin that u discussed cricket but as i had no result to submit then so could not comment on that  
at last i found a cricket fan on ZE...Happy

Cricket a bit of a sad topic for us Brits at the moment   Apart from the women's team  

Of course we may use a completely different structure for the next tournament, my ideas hopefully will help whoever does the organising.
