Question & Request to host

Pz inform about minimum and maximum players of 1 team....

I will suggest to keep equal number of players in all teams and all members should know that Nations Tourney can prolong, So pz join if u can keep playing till the end..
things get messy when 1 or more player leave the team in middle stage..it was Ok in 1st Tourney
But as we move ahead and arranging things in an order such matters should be defined earlier and every1 should know and abide them. Thanks

Also designate 1 team Captain for every team..who will be responsible for gathering/submitting results and will also share the different information shared by the host with his respective team members.
it will reduce the burden of our host

If any1 wanna help more he/she should recruit new players..just paste this thread link in ur current active game's comment section or send message to few players.

Question & Request to host

I agree with chwaqasahmed,

yiannakos, you should write a Format of the Nation Tournament # 2.
if you need help, you just have to ask and we ready to help you.
I can take care of the record like I do for TC # 5. (Update almost every day)
I know KumaraKid will post all the results and format on the web site.

In Nation Tournament # 1, I lost interest to follow it because it was impossible to follow it, which team was leading, than some players quit and got replace.

Thanks to yiannakos, it is a great idea the Nation Tournament

Current rules - feel free to comment

General:
The tournament of nations is a friendly competition amongst members of zooescape to promote camaraderie with fellow countrymen and friendship with members of foreign lands.

Format:
A team shall consist of three or four players.
Competition will see each team play the other teams in its own group once. A team v. team match shall consist of each of the three or four members of a "home" team challenging each of the three or four members of the "visiting" team to a 3-day backgammon game.

The final round shall consist of the three group winners plus a fourth team (see tie breakers).

Recording victories:
When all games in a team v. team match are completed, a designated member ("captain") of the home team shall record the final outcome in the "nations" thread of the backgammon forum in the format:
E.g. Team A - Team B 5-4 (five victories for Team A members against four losses)
The result will be posted in the public forums so as to avoid cheating. It will subsequently be recorded on site http://unofficialzootourneys.wordpress.com/ along with the updated standings.

Points awarded:
A team shall receive two pints for a victory, one point for a draw.
The standings shall show a team's victories and points
E.g.
1. TeamA 5-4 2 points
2. Team B 4-5 0 points

Tie-breakers:
The group winners shall be the team with the most points. Should two or more teams end up even on points within a group, the tie-breakers, in order, are:
1. Victory percentage
2. Head-to-head competition between the two teams
3. A one-game playoff

The fourth team to make the final round shall be chosen as follows:
1. Should there be a tie in one of the groups, both teams shall advance.
Should there be a tie in more than one group or no ties at all, the tie breaker shall consist of:
1. Points
2. Victory percentage
3. A one-game playoff

Substitutions:
Should a team's player withdraw from further competition or leave on holiday (vacation) for more than one week, he should decline the games in any match and inform his team's captain of his decision.
In that case,
* a 4-man team may continue to play as a 3-man team or attempt to recruit a new member within three days
* a 3-man team shall attempt to recruit a new member within three days. Should that attempt fail, the third member's games shall be deemed as forfeited.

A substitute may not be recruited from another team unless that team has already been eliminated from further competition.
