I think you guys have some great ideas.

As far as getting Zoo Management involved - bad idea.

If my experience with them is anything to go by - they are more useless than a one legged man at an ass kicking party.

Let's just do it ourselves.

I guess the first thing to do is find out who is interested??? I can send some more messages if you want me to????

I think blokhin2 is correct - we would probably need around 8 or so players to get it going.
I will chat to some of the players during my games.

It's interesting because you are not eliminated right away after your first loss, but then again it requires a quite complex tracking system, I'd say we start with a simpler single elimination and then we can try this as well. But I'm game either way

If we are doing this on our own, we will just have to challenge each other, and it will not reflect on our ladder position.

Of course this a great idea. Sorry i could not give any reaction before.
It seems not to be impossible to get to0 this forum via my ipad and i only use my computer nowadays to d/l movies. lollll
But Sideshowbob draw my attention to it.

Like i told Bob i used to play some years ago on Yahoo and those were all live games. Not like here 1 move and waiting again. But playing in real time against each other and if both are on line at same time you can finish at least a complete game and of course you can play more games at same time.

Oops what a lot of words to tell something that simple. Blame it on English not being my mother tongue ( not even my fathers as well)

And yes, the more possibilities to play the better.

I retired from the BG Ladder- it does get a little boring and NOT TOO TOUGH to stay on or near the top of the ladder--

At first I didn't like the idea but after thinking about it for a month or so I decided to try--

From what I read in the past I think the BEST (least) number of games played to reach the TOP of the ladder was 113- ?? that is a question - is that the number to beat?

where would this information be kept - if it is nOT kept might be a good idea to keep it- I nominate sideshow being it was his idea LOL!!

maybe keep a record - 1,2,3rd, place and honorable mentions? date achieved something along those lines - should nt be that hard- maybe take a screen shot of the ladder showing the information "for the record"==

any other takers at this time? I m going all the way to the bottom - just 6 games to clear up S----L----O----W players keeping me back at the moment--

also strategy-anybody who has done this is it BEST to keep your games limited or play as many games to get there faster-- I guess the BEST strategy would be to WIn about 75% of the time--LOL

with all the posts about tourneys you should change the name of the forum-- from RACE TO THE TOP to INVITATIONAL TOURNEY or something-

TWO different ideas all together- and I like them both - but to keep posts in the appropriate place maybe somebody should start a new forum for the tourney--

count me in-- I am assuming it would have to be by invitation- if the house is not involved.

That's a good idea r4zzm4t4zz. There appears to be two issues here. I am interested in a special tourney for the players who have reached the top spot, but I'm not interested in starting the ladder all over again.
