What a reversal!

I thought for sure I was going to lose this game, and I only got to make 2 moves in the beginning before I got all boxed in. But then my luck turned in a spectacular way:

here's an interesting game...

I made one move and then there were a number of forced moves...when I could actually move, the game was almost finished! Good moves by my opponent though...

Best Recovery

The best recovery I've played on this site (and maybe ever) was against chrisengineer (thanks chris). By roll 9 I had three men on the bar, he had an almost full backboard and I had no men in my backboard (other than the original 5). Yet, I went on to win the game. But, that's the beauty of backgammon - even from the most seemingly untenable of positions it's possible to win.

Please start on Turn 27... my opponent (Rabsnake) had a great shot to finish me off..... Lucky rolls all the way to the end! Thanks, Rabsnake for the great game!

Making the TRULY Impossible Possible.

I thought I'd made my best ever recovery against chrisengineer - until I played jrm. jrm could have backgammoned me with a double four or above. When he left me a shot he only had two men left on the board. Unfortunately, he didn't have a chance to take those two men off before I had all of mine off.

Please see roll 23 at this web address: http://zooescape.com/backgammon.pl?v=200&gid=52823.

Sorry jrm!

great game

Thanks for sharing that game aphrodite0123

It proves even the impossible may be possible - it really does (sometimes) pay to take the risk and keep one piece lurking in the opponent's home base...lol
