Comments or Chat option I sure would like to see this addition soon. Most of us are grasping at straws of communication with the new challenge comment line, but that does seem like a rather prehistoric way of talking. Some conversations last 6 games long, at 6 lines of convo! Thanks Zooescape. Lookin forward to it! Darren |

support for comments Hey there, I'm sorry you've had bad experiences, skulls. with comments...I play chess online too but haven't ever had any problems...in fact most have been very helpful and/or funny. I believe ZooEscape will take any insults or harassment seriously! I support the chat or comment function while at the same time quite happy if someone doesn't want to chat when game playing. |

harass and insult I got here from Gameknot (as Zooescape seems to be gradually, and wisely, following). There, I have had many a conversation about a myriad of items, usually location of living and career. If I ever had a negative conversation, I've forgotten it. Here at Zoo, what I'm experiencing now is the grasping and straining to connect more, as we banter out bits and pieces of words and phrases in the meager allowance allotted to us, the poor-dialogue-deprived-minions. Life is about relationship, and really, in the end, zooescape is simply another means for us beings to relate to each other. Anything to enhance that will be an improvement, and the site will only benefit from connecting its members better. The defense rests. |

Preference for chat on/off button I agree with Lilwarrior.... Let me add another suggestion related his issue about chat... How about adding a new feature where a player can click on or off for chat under the section- Preferences? |

I also agree Let me also second the sentiment, and I also have never had a bad experience at gameknot (except perhaps for people simply ignoring my comments). I think it would be especially useful here because we play so many games against one another and I've often wanted to make comments (even if it just to groan). |

agree too Its really fun to have long series of games with other players and nice to see when they leave a comment so I personally would like to have more contact. Anyone who loves backgammon are worth a few moments to have a chat with in my book and if they want to do it incommunicado, fine, easy to not type. As for harrassment whats the worst that could happen? "oh you lucky bleeping bleep you always get 3-1 or 4-2 to open and heaps of doubles against me" and that would only make you more happy to win. Bring my mother into it and I will disable chat though |

Not a social site If you want to chat, talk or connect why not join a social site. This is not a social site. One of the things I like nost is that there is no chat. I come, I play, I leave.I want a social discussion I go to the many sites available. As the Zoo grows, problems are sure to follow. Accusations of cheating (at least one post has already leaked) whining about players who use their legally alloted time, players using too much vacation (of course, only against me as I am winning). Like I said, mark my words, the more social options, the more the problems!!! |
