Champions Tournament is ONLY for players who reached the top of backgammon ladder.

General rules:
- Every tournament will have a host whose responsibility would be to set up a tournament. If you don't mind I could host the first tournament, then we can rotate the hosts.
- First tournament will be a single elimination tournament - just to see how players like this kind of competition.
- First tournament will start on May 13, 2013 (Monday). All participants have to confirm their participation by 1PM EST on May 12 (Sunday)
- Maximum number of players to play in the tournament: 16, minimum is 8. If we don't have 8 players who confirmed their participation by the deadline the tournament would be canceled. If at the time of deadline we have more than 8 but less than 16 players, only the first 8 will be playing.
- The players who participate in the tournament will be paired with each other based on their rating as of time when they agree to participate in the tournament. The player with the best rating will be paired with the lowest-ranked player, second best players - with second lowest player, etc. This rule applies to all rounds
- The paired players are playing 3 games until some one wins 2 games (best-of-three).
- The paired players are responsible to challenge each other, there will not be automatic match invitations
- After the match is over the winner should send a result using this forum/thread.
- The host will be providing a tournament status update on a daily basis (if possible)
