 Don't count points in tie breakers Points should NOT be a criterion for tie breakers for all of the reasons you mention. I think I got beat 16-2 one Match by a Dead Cube (or something close to that). I personally like: 1st tie breaker -- Head to Head 2nd tie breaker -- current ranking or win percentage (I could go either way on this one) 3rd tie breaker -- 1 game playoff But whatever you decide will be accepted by everyone. For the next Tourney, everyone should take responsibility for reading and understanding the rules and there should be reasonable and fair penalties for not doing so. This first Tourney was a bit of a learning curve for all of us. |
